Mid Century BettiJean Furred Fashions ladies coat from Pomeroys of Pennsylvania

This is a mid century BettiJean Furred Fashions ladies coat from Pomeroys of Pennsylvania.

This ladies coat was acquired in an estate sale in Tracy, California a few years back. 

This beauty features a light ivory color wool blend with a sateen lining. There is a double row of rhinestones at the collar as shown.

The 1950's BettiJean ladies coat is in very good condition without stains, fading, or discoloration on the body; the interior lining has a very small orange dot and the lining has two small repairs.

When I inquired about the repairs the daughter of the woman who owned it said that her mother only wore the coat (which cost over $18.00 in the early '50's!!!) on special occasions and that it was in mint condition for years. 

That is until daughter asked to wear it to a dance one night. She is the one who damaged the liner when she was climbing over a fence sneaking in to the local public pool and it got caught and received two tiny tears; then she got caught and received a couple of marks too! 

The shoulder width, sleeve seam to sleeve seam is 16 1/2" across.

The sleeve length, from shoulder seam to cuff, is 22 1/2" long.
