Vintage oracle bowl seeks new forever home.

This mid century porcelain bowl features delft blue Japanese landscapes and floral inspired vector flourishes in an all over pattern. This 1960's oracle bowl was skillfully and artfully hand painted in Japan. 

The oracle bone bowl is used for seeing futures and fates. The oracle or mystic seer places the bones, typically those of a frog or a small bird in the bowl, mixes them up, then pours them out, and "reads" what the fortunes say.

While this is a seers bowl, it would also make a lovely smudge pot, incense burner, or zen aroma cauldron.

Vintage Nordic Ware Pineapple Upside Down Cake Pan

This is a Nordic Ware cake pan, c.1986

It is the pineapple upside down cake (aka 'Skillet Cake') mold. 

Tori Avey offers a rich history of the "skillet cake" and a yummy - very yummy recipe here.

The cake mold is in excellent condition without damage or discoloration.

It measures 10" x 2 1/8".

Vintage Stoneware Coffee Mugs - White with Flowers - Sketchbook from Mikasa c.1985, Set of 2

This is a set of 2 vintage stoneware coffee mugs.

The mugs are the Mikasa Sketchbook pattern by Bob Van Allen. The Bob Van Allen line of designer dinnerware has by far become one of Mikasa's most popular items. Whether it is a matter of function over form, or form over function - Van Allen pieces always conquer all.

This simple yet quite elegant pattern features a glossy white body with green stems and assorted color flowers in casual brushstroke glances.

Perfect set for the home, home office, or office break room or kitchenette.

Or you can do what I do - drill a small weep hole in the bottom, throw in a few Burpee seeds of your favorite herb, and grow your own herbs in this adorable little planter right in your window sill.

Vintage Glass Cruet - Star of David by Anchor Hocking - c.1960's

This adorable glass cruet features one of my all-time favorite patterns from Anchor Hocking - it is the Star of David pattern, c.1960's.

I am not sure what it is about this particular pattern that draws me in, but I love all of the facets, shapes, and mixed 'cut' designs. 

The Star of David pattern combines elements of the old pineapple cut, mixed with starburst cuts, and the reminiscence of a pinwheel pattern. Whatever the intent by AH, the combination is enchanting and quickly becoming a favorite among EAPC collectors.

The cruet is in excellent condition without chips, cracks, discoloration or staining.

It measures 8" tall.
