Vintage Davis and Sanford Camera Tripod Model C/BB with Compound Multi-Axis Pan Head & Canvas Bag Seeks New Forever Home.
It is model C/BB in black. This tripod folds to 31" and expands to 68" [78.8 and 173.0 cm]. This tripod is quite sturdy and fairly lightweight for its age. The feet can have a flat, round, and spike setting. It is a multi-axis compound pan head. The rosettes are both present, in very good condition, and have their own storage / carry sack. The camera mount screw is reversible for easy packing and safe transportation. The tripod is free of bends and dents. There are some minor paint scratches here and there but it is in very good condition overall. The orange grip pad on the plate is ripped and worn - see photo. The canvas carry bag features lambskin ends and sturdy grip with two straps for secure fastening; it has travel wear and the words 'camera tripod' printed in black ink - see photo.
If you are in search of an excellent tripod that is both fairly lightweight yet incredibly durable for use indoors or in nature - this is the one for you. Bottom line is that they just don't make them like this anymore - this is a terrific tripod at a very good price.
